I finally hit 70 lbs! Even if I would have only lost 1 lb when I weighed myself this morning, I'd be thrilled to finally get off the 68 plateau on which I've been residing for two weeks, but it feels great to hit another benchmark.
Here are the flowers I bought myself this morning:
When I hit 80 lbs, I'm buying tulips even if I have to order them online! I couldn't find them anywhere. Sigh.
I bought this bouquet because it contained daisies (love 'em!) and pretty yellow flowers (love yellow!) and because the vase is square. I don't own any square vases, so it was a big selling point. I'm going to have quite the vase collection if I don't start remembering to take one of my vases with me when I buy flowers!
I pat myself on the back for thinking of flowers as a reward for losing weight; they don't add to my hips, they're pretty, they smell nice, and they make my office feel cheery - perfect!

Yay! That's awesome! That is a really pretty arrangement. I love daisies too. I bought two bouquets of white daisies and some other white flower two weeks ago and they are just barely starting to wilt. Walmart and costco flowers last forever.
WhooHooo! Congratulations on reaching another marker. I love daisies, too and yellow! We must be related, or else we just have great taste.
I pat you on the back, too. For many reasons. :)
Congrats on reaching 70 lbs! You definitely deserve those beautiful flowers, and I like the idea of a square vase.
OO, I like those flowers too! I would love a big vase of daffodils and Lilacs for Easter, but its probably not happening. Congratulations on the weight!
Hoooray! I'm glad that you buy yourself flowers, too. I should buy myself flowers sometime. I really like flowers. I should make a good, easy, acheivable goal and then buy them.
Cassie, I would never have guessed that Walmart flowers would last so long; they're produce and meat seem to go bad within a couple days! I bet your white flowers were pretty - did you take a picture???
Book, thanks! I definitely think we're related AND we both have great taste!
Sarah, thank you. You've inspired me in many ways.
Missy, thanks! You know, a square vase is really fun. I have a blue one I bought in Mexico but I've always wanted more square vases. If I ever buy you flowers, I'll make sure the vase is square. :)
Tearese, oh! I would LOVE a big vase of daffodils and lilacs, too! Oh how pretty! And the lilacs would totally smell divine. Hmm. I wonder if I can lose another 10 lbs by Easter so I can order me a vase of them. Hmmm. Probably not! Thanks for the great visual, though!
Cardine, I think you totally deserve flowers for how hard you work this time of year! I'd say surviving tax season is a good enough reason to buy yourself flowers! :)
Speaking of buying myself flowers, I actually bought myself two vases of flowers. *Ahem*
The other bunch is a little unusual and I can't remember the name of the flower, which is one of the reasons why I haven't posted a picture. That and I haven't taken a picture of them. I'll try to remember to do so, though. Maybe then one of you will recognize the flower and tell me its name.
The other bouquet is at my home. I bought them and thought the arrangement was so interesting but not very colorful, so I bought the other, more colorful arrangement, too. Besides, it's nice to have fresh flowers at work AND at home. :)
At each place, the cashiers asked me who was getting the flowers. Both times I said they were for me. Both looked shocked. Is it really that odd to buy yourself flowers? I don't think so. Maybe I'm odd-er than I thought?
Congratualtions Julie!!! Thats so great. I love that you give yourself flowers. Its funny how much flowers can just brighten your day.
I don't think it's odd to buy yourself flowers. I think it's brilliant. Just think... people are buying themselves LOTS of things. And most of it is probably junk food. Buying flowers for yourself is wonderful.
